Maersk diving deeper into the Electric Trucking Industry

Volvo Trucks North America is one of the major Automotive Manufacturer in the US & Canada mainly. They have also recently released some electric semi-trucks which bought interest to major companies & transport companies.

Swedish Company Volvo is a jor brand in Europe & is becoming popular in North America.

Maersk, one of the largest freight transport companies in ocean & road sector caught interest. The Major transport brand placed an order 10 Times larger than their Volvo VNR Electric day cabs.  

In total,  110 Class 8 truck are going to be delivered to Maersk. The Company is constantly changing to electric for the better. 

Maersk has also partnered with Watt-EV to make chargers for it's rapidly growing EV Fleet. Volvo is also making it's battery range better by the day as right now, on 1 charge, the trucks can go 275 Miles which is low according to estimates. The Trucks can also carry 20,000+ Pounds of Weight on a single trailer.

The Future

Volvo NA has launched EV Trucks very recently. When this goes successful, it can become a leader in EV Semi's in North America.
