Walmart Canada steps into eco-friendly delivery

Walmart Ecommerce delivery is now going green. 

Walmart Canada is one of the biggest grocery retailers in Canada. They have step foot into the renewable sector with EV vans & trucks to deliver their orders.

The company said it is now funding a renewable transition project that will be handeled by EcoCart vehicles. The company claims that this will reduce an estimated 25,000 tons of emissions generated by Walmart’s last-mile deliveries. Which is similar to saving 1 Million trees.

The company is dedicated towards the Programme & will grow into a fully EV fleet by 2028 according to Walmart.

Eco-Cart

EcoCart is a start-up which was founded in San Francisco who currently is serving the browser extension which tells that how much CO2 the product makes to come to you. It first shows & then gives an option of making it Carbon-Neutral. 

This is a massive success & Walmart is involved increasing the success. EcoCart will keep a track on Walmart's steps & apply carbon-neutral methods.

Walmart Canada previously launched Project Gigaton that invites suppliers to reduce emissions from the global supply chain. To date, 590 of Walmart Canada’s suppliers have made Project Gigaton commitments. The company is also committed to converting its vehicle fleet to 100% alternative power by 2028.
