Gorakhpur Link Expressway
The Gorakhpur Link Expressway as the name tells is a expressway that is going to link the city of Gorakhpur, UP to the Purvanchal Expressway which is in operation.
What is the need for the expressway?
Gorakhpur is a major city in northeast Uttar Pradesh. People and goods both travel to other cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Bareilly, Gwalior and Delhi.Â
To connect the region, the Purvanchal Expressway was built and opened in 2021 but did not connect or pass near the city or Gorakhpur. To connect the city of Gorakhpur for better flow of traffic, this new route was planned and named as Gorakhpur Link Expressway.

Route Information
The expressway starts from the Purvanchal Expressway as a trumpet interchange and crosses the Ghaghara River, then it continues onto Gorakhpur where it ends on the outer portion of the city.
