Dubai can't stop impressing the world from The Burj Khalifa to the Palm Islands .On 9th September 2009. The Dubai Metro was officially opened but only 10/29 Stations were opened. The later parts were all finished by 2011. This has its own features the biggest of them being that they are driverless making them more safer.

Construction cost and Fares

The Metro has been a very expensive project with building costing 28 Billion. The expectation totally matched by getting over 18 Billion. This is because there are 360K Daily Commuters .And 200M Yearly commuters. The Fares are as follows

Safety

The Metro has many features here's the list

The signaling makes them safe at 5 mins gap between trains.

Ridership

The Bare Bone Fares are one of the key points of high ridership also making this an MRT.

There are trains every 5 min and are never late. But even 5 Minutes makes the stations jam packed with busy commuters

Ridership in Green line is over 72 million .and the Red Line has double of Green Line at over 135 Million. In total there are over 200+ Million commuters Yearly.

Lines

The two existing lines are the Red and Green lines. The tram also exist in the Dubai Marina Area.

The Red Line Starts from UAE Exchange (Near Jebal Ali Port) to Rashidiya (South West of Dubai Airport). And the Green Line Starts from Etisalat metro station (Al Quasis 3) to Creek (Jaddaf Area)

The Green Line will be extended from the Creek side of the metro which will cross the creek.

Stations and Construction

While some stations may look like the picture below

Others may look different like the Airport Terminal 3 Which has a Two Floor Platform.

Airport T3 With 2 Floor Station.

The only two station with Line interchanges are Union which is the biggest in the network and Burjman. These stations are heavily crowded and may get confusing.
