Harbin Metro

The Harbin metro is a rapid transit system in the Chinese north city of Harbin, Heilongjiang. It is a very small sized metro system when compared with the other 45 metro systems of China, specially Shanghai.

Quick History

Harbin Metro started out in 2005 with a Gov approval. The construction starts in September 2009. The first metro opened in September 2013. Line 2 opened in 2021 and Line 3 (Not fully operational) opened in Nov 2021.

The trains operate between 6 AM-9 PM and train fares are dirt cheap at 2 Chinese Yuan.

Harbin metro is also one of the few metro's in China which is mostly operates in snow.
