TransJakarta

The Jakarta BRT is one of the largest Public Transport Systems in the World. This started in 2004. Spanning 251KM by 13 lines and 244 Stations and an army of 4000 buses carrying 1 Million a day.

Over many years, the system added more bus routes making it more complex

The Main reason for the birth of the complex system was to reduce the traffic of the main vehicles bikes and cars jamming all streets. Disrupting everything and bringing health problems.

The City is based on the Java Island which has the most number of people ever seen. Over years, the city got more dense with more job opportunities

This was very successful as most of the community of Jakarta and Suburbs are not able to bear the costs of vehicles and also understood the problem of pollution and Global Warming.

After the success of the Bus Rapid Trabsit System. The buses became larger, comfier and more affordable as the cost is being divided by all the people. It expanded into the present day of 13 lines

After the Large passengers it soon became a problem of overcrowding. And the buses became late because of traffic then later, the government the introduced the Transjakarta Corridors. The Meaning was the buses had a different lane from rest of the traffic.

The Corridors increased demand as people saw the travel times cut by the lanes. After the corridors the a new bus system was launched called "Feeder Buses" which serve outside the city and the suburbs. This was very profitable as  more people coming to live in the city only had the suburbs to live.

In 2021 this got the "Sustainable Transport Award" . Today it is getting  ready for electric buses
